Certification

Cadets who take up our courses have to give a written and oral exam after the completion of their courses. They have to pass this exam with at least 60% marks and above in order to be honored with a Degree Certificate (Course Completion Certificate). Experienced cadets who are appearing for their competency exams i.e. COC exams would also need to go through similar coaching and the same exams rules followed along with orals would apply to them too.

Cadets will also be issued the 4 STCW95 Basic Safety Training Certificates on completion of their practical training as detailed below:
  • STCW95 PSSR – Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities certificate
  • STCW95 Elementary First Aid certificate
  • STCW95 Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques
  • STCW 95 Competence in Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention Certificate (Basic Fire Fighting)

Cadets who have completed their prescribed pre-sea training courses and are eligible to proceed to sea can apply and be issued a CDC, which is a Continuous Discharge Certificate-cum-Seafarer’s Identity Document.
